Being a member of Phoenix Children’s Chorus is a life changing experience for children and youth. With an average cost of less than $10 per hour of participation, we strive to make our program accessible to all families.

  • Who is able to audition?
    Auditions are open to all boys and girls 2nd through 12th grade. Kinder, 1st, and 2nd graders do not need to audition and can register for Poco Voce.
  • Is there a cost to audition?
    No! All auditions are FREE. However, by signing up for an audition, we expect that you intend to enroll your child in our program. All singers pay a registration fee and monthly tuition. These fees vary by choir, and more information can be found here.
  • Is there a cost to participate in PCC?

  • What if I’m unsure if I can afford your program?
    Fear not! We have an extensive tuition assistance program that might be just right for you. Tuition assistance is awarded based on application and need. Please contact the office at (602) 534-3788 or email info@pcchorus.org for further information.
  • Where do the auditions take place?
    Auditions will take place in the same location where the program rehearses: Premier Program: Location TBD Voices Northwest Valley: Highland Lakes School (19000 N 63rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85308)
  • Does my child need to prepare anything for the audition?
    There is nothing to prepare before the audition. During the audition your child will work directly with a member of the artistic team. The conductor will teach and guide them through the entire process.
  • Does my child need to have a music background?
    PCC has a place for choristers at all ability levels. We are looking for children who have a clear and pleasant singing voice, who love to sing, and can match pitch.
  • How will I be notified of the audition result?
    Everyone who auditions will receive an email giving the audition results and possible choir placement for your child within a few days of the audition.
  • If I haven’t received an email, does that mean my child wasn’t accepted?"
    Absolutely not. We will communicate with you regardless of your child’s acceptance status or choir placement. It is possible the email was marked as spam or that there was an error. Please check your junk mailbox or contact us at office@pcchorus.org.
  • What choir will my child be placed in?
    Choir placement is determined through a combination of age, voice type, musical aptitude, and rehearsal skills. After your child’s audition you will receive an acceptance email which states your child’s assigned choir.
  • When does the choir season start and how long is it?
    Our choir season mirrors a typical school year. We start weekly rehearsal in August and finish mid-May. We take a holiday break for several weeks in December.
