Poco Voce is a music exploration class for grades K-2 that allows children to develop basic musical literacy and vocal skills. Students explore the fundamentals of music through age-appropriate teaching methods. Children learn an appreciation for music while also being given the tools to succeed in choral music in the future.

We know that music exposure prior to the age of ten has a lifelong impact on music aptitude. As such, we have designed this program to provide all children access to quality music instruction. No audition is required for participation.

Tuition for participation is $180 per semester or $360 for the season.

Kindergarten

For the best learning to occur, it is important to deliver teaching at an age appropriate level. We want our youngest students to participate freely and have fun while learning. Our music curriculum at this level focuses on learning foundational music concepts through singing, play, and activities.

GRADES 1-2

Our second level focuses on exploring the fundamentals of healthy singing, beat-keeping, intonation, improvisation, and music literacy. In an active learning environment, students engage with music in new ways. Class instruction encourages children to build confidence, develop social and emotional learning, and explore their creativity.
